For inline or stand-alone operation S:GRAN is the most universal recycling machine. Virtually all thermoplastic polymers (such as PE, PP, PA, PS, PC, PET, ABS. EVA, PPS, biopolymers) and other technical plastics can be efficiently and cleanly recycled into pellets with minimal property loss. Its control system provides complete recipe control and simplifies machine operation. S:GRANs are suitable for any form of plastic, including the most difficult to shred materials.

- The size and the quantity of the incoming scrap material are only restricted by the hopper opening and not the process. Therefore, several differing material feeding systems can be employed simultaneously:
- The conveyor belt is the most common type of material feeding. A detector provides a warning of metal items in the scrap.
- The roll feeder allows the processing of film in roll form.
- The air separator enables a fully automatic and continuous recycling of film edge and/or bleed trims for inline operation. A storage of material is no longer required.
- As an option foamed parts and other light waste can be processed with greater efficiency with a process controlled hydraulic press down device.
- With an additive dosing device in the section between the shredder and the extruder intake additives equal to up to 20% of the material flow can be fed in (e.g. for the improvement of flow characteristics or material coloring).
- If required we offer a venting system for degassing (drying) the melt using a water ring vacuum pump.
- For highly printed and damp plastics we recommend double venting/degassing.
- NGR offers combined venting consisting of both atmospheric and vacuum venting for materials with a maximum of 10% surface moisture.
- A high-quality, double piston automatic screen changer (melt filter) allows „on-the-fly“ screen changes without stopping the machine..
- Self-cleaning back flushing melt filters are recommended for highly contaminated materials.
- Hot die (water ring) pelletizer is generally used for the majority of polyolefins (PE, low-MFI PP, etc.)
- Strand pelletizer or underwater pelletizing are employed for PA, PET or other polymers as well as for high-MFI PP.
- Typically, NGR supplies the entire pellet transport equipment such as blowers, piping, cyclones, etc.

- The NGR recycling process is very simple and requires only a sufficient inflow of material. Normally just one person is necessary to handle the feeding task. The automatized inline production completely eliminates messy multiple handling of the same material.
- Simple ON-OFF-switching: following sudden plant stops (e.g. power loss, emergency stops), the machine can be immediately restarted without any problem with filled hopper and extruder screw.
- The NGR design principle with its low speed drum shreds the material gently. The material is fed directly into the extruder without losing the frictional heat generated during the cutting process. The gently melted plastic produces high pellet quality with minimal loss of physical characteristics.
- The uniform pellet size allows it to be mixed homogenously with original material.
- A high degree of process stability minimizes the influence of the operating personnel on pellet quality.
- Simple access to wear parts reduces scheduled downtime to a minimum.
- The compact and robust design saves floor space and operating power.
- The solid shredder shaft has bearings on both sides, which prevents bending under extreme loads. As a consequence, long service life is ensured even at full performance and with the processing of hard-to-handle materials such as PA fibers.
- In addition, low shredder shaft speeds give excellent cutting performance combined with long blade life.
- Robust design, high-grade materials and top quality manufacturing in combination with the finest possible controls and proven electronics, guarantee a long service life.
- Due to the excellent output rate in combination with low operating and energy costs the machine typically offers an extremely short payback period (6-12 months). We are pleased to calculate both your recycling operational costs per kg [lbs] and the payback period.

S:GRAN recycling machines are engineered in extruder sizes from 65 mm to 125 mm[2,56 – 4,92 inch] and include separate e-drives for the shredder-feeder and the extruder. This makes the S:GRAn especially suitable for any form of plastic. The pelletizer output ranges from 140-880 kg/H [300 – 1.760 lbs/j]
